Freedom, justice and solidarity are the basic principles underlying the work of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). KAS is a political foundation, closely associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). With our European and international cooperation, we are committed to ensuring that people can live self-determined lives in freedom and dignity. We make a value-orientated contribution to ensuring that Germany lives up to its growing responsibility in the world.

With more than 70 offices and projects in over 120 countries worldwide, we make an independent contribution to promoting democracy, the rule of law and a social market economy. The central approach of our work lies in maintaining contacts and networking with and between politicians, decision-makers, but also policy-related advisory institutes and academic institutions. Furthermore, we are trying to foster the exchange of expertise and experience between Germany and the Baltic States.
